Entidades médicas querem entender os motivos da carência em determinadas áreas e buscar soluções para minimizar o problema
A Comissão de Ensino Médico se reuniu nesta última terça-feira (26), em Brasília, para continuar o debate sobre a pesquisa que busca traçar um diagnóstico dos especialistas no País com o objetivo de identificar as condições e realidades da formação médica. Preocupadas com a falta de algumas especialidades no mercado de trabalho, as diretorias das entidades médicas querem entender, por meio da pesquisa, os motivos da carência em determinadas áreas e buscar soluções para minimizar o problema.
Entre os desafios que os pesquisadores vão enfrentar está o de identificar o número real de especialistas, uma vez que nem todos os médicos que se especializam em determinadas áreas atualizam seus cadastros nos Conselhos de Medicina. Uma campanha para incentivar a atualização do cadastro é uma das propostas da comissão.
Para discutir o assunto, a comissão recebeu a presidente da Associação Brasileira de Educação Médica (ABEM), Jadete Barbosa Lampert, que apoiou a iniciativa da pesquisa.
Presente na reunião, o presidente da FENAM, Cid Carvalhaes, ressaltou a importância da pesquisa. "Não temos hoje referências estatísticas que possam nos dar a devida credibilidade de quantos somos, onde estamos, o que fazemos e o que precisamos fazer pela melhoria do ensino médico", apontou Cid Carvalhaes.
A ideia é apresentar alguns resultados da pesquisa no próximo Fórum Nacional do Ensino Médico, previsto para os dias 21 e 22 de junho.

The Medical Education Committee met on Tuesday (26), in Brasilia, to continue the debate on research that seeks to develop a diagnosis of specialists in the country with the aim of identifying the conditions and realities of medical training. Concerned by the lack of certain specialties in the labor market, the boards of medical organizations want to understand, through research, the reasons for the shortage in certain areas and find solutions to minimize the problem.
Among the challenges that researchers will face is to identify the actual number of specialists, since not all doctors who specialize in certain areas update their entries on the Boards of Medicine. A campaign to encourage the updating of the proposals is one of the committee.
To discuss the issue, the committee received the President of the Association of Medical Education (ABEM), Barbosa Jadete Lampert, who supported the research initiative.
Present at the meeting, the president of FENAM, Cid Carvalhaes, emphasized the importance of research. "We have today reference statistics that can give us the necessary credibility of many we are, where we are, what we do and we need to do for the improvement of medical education, " noted Cid Carvalhaes.
The idea is to present some findings in the next National Forum of Medical Education, scheduled for 21 to June 22.
